Dreamy two-house compound on 3.5 acres in Beverly Hills seeks $32M

We’re pretty sure whoever said money can’t buy happiness never saw this dreamy two-house compound on 3.5 acres in Beverly Hills.

Oak Pass House in Beverly Hills

Developed “for a concert violinist who wanted a quiet place where he can host private classical-music performances” the main residence, built primarily of structural concrete and glass, sits on a ridge blending in beautifully with the surrounding landscape filled with 130 majestic, live oak trees.

Architect Noah Walker explains, ”It was a critical aspect of the design to make the large house seem as diminutive and sewn into the landscape as possible.”

To achieve this he utilized an upside down floor plan to divide 8,000 square feet on two floors where the public spaces sit above the bedrooms, “… which are buried into the hill and protected beneath a vegetated roof. A lower level courtyard allows light and air to flow to the buried hallway of the bedroom level.”

Last sold in 2013 for $20 million, the property is listed for $32 million.
